We roast coffee with restraint and precision, aiming for sweetness, structure, and clarity — achieved through a signature light roasting approach shaped by nearly two decades of hands-on experience.

Oval’s co-founder Christopher Alspach has been an SCA-certified roaster since 2014 and honed his craft over seven years in Portland, Oregon’s legendary 2010s specialty coffee scene before returning to New York City.

At its most fundamental, a great coffee is about the simple pleasure of something made well. And delivering that is our deepest passion and commitment at Oval Coffee Roasters.
